1What types of fans are supported by FreshAIR controllers?
FreshAIR controllers can operate any EC fan available on the market, as well as AC fans designed for speed control with a power of up to 150 W.
2Do FreshAIR controllers provide smooth fan speed control?
Yes, control is continuous — for EC fans via a 0–10 V signal, and for AC fans via smooth voltage adjustment without stepped changes.
3Do FreshAIR controllers have a built-in calendar?
Yes, the built-in calendar allows you to schedule speed reduction, increase, or complete shutdown at selected times of the day, e.g., at night, with separate schedules for weekdays and weekends.
4Do the controllers “learn” the operation of a given facility? How does this “self-learning” algorithm work?
FreshAIR controllers feature an adaptive algorithm that continuously adjusts fan speed to changes in the system, eliminating fluctuations and overshoot without the tuning required by traditional PID controllers.
5Where can FreshAIR controllers be used?
They can control overpressure or underpressure wherever fan speed regulation is needed. Applications include ventilation exhaust in residential buildings, airlock pressure control, or production exhaust systems.
6What components of the system does FreshAIR provide?
FreshAIR supplies VAV/CAV controllers for AC and EC fans, a configuration app, pneumatic tubing, measurement ports, and mounting accessories. The customer provides the remaining system components, including fans, ducts, and installation.
7How does ventilation design with FreshAIR work, and how can Innovation Vent assist you?
Unified FreshAIR EC and AC controllers simplify selection regardless of the fan type. Automatic adjustment of operating parameters and built-in protections ensure stable operation without the need to manually configure settings.
